St. Francis Preschool
St. Francis of Assisi Preschool seeks to provide a loving, caring environment to help each child in our program grow in their love of God, self, and others. We seek to cultivate children's natural sense of wonder and build experiences that provide children with a solid educational foundation for learning throughout the elementary years.
Our curriculum incorporates both structured and unstructured learning experiences. The children participate in lessons during shared circle time that teach and reinforce developmentally appropriate concepts. Our youngest learners focus on language-building experiences, counting, recognizing shapes, colors, and numbers. Our older children are learning alphabet concepts, mathematical concepts such as patterning, sequencing, graphing, and number relationships, and book and print concepts. We incorporate art, music, literature, and bible stories into all age levels.
Our preschool consists of four classes: 2s, 3s, 4s, 3/4s multi-age class
Teachers for the 2018-2019 school year are as follows:
4s Class: Miss Halle, Miss Katelyn.
3/4s Class: Miss Bri, Miss Michelle H.
3s Class: Miss Melissa, Miss Mia
2s Class: Miss Lisa, Miss Christina

STAND Training is required for Parent Volunteers in Classroom and on Field Trips. Parents are reminded that in order to volunteer in the classroom or on field trips with your child's preschool class, you MUST complete the Archdiocesan STAND training and complete the related paperwork. You can find all of the information you will need on the Archdiocese of Baltimore website: www.archbalt.org Please plan ahead. We will schedule many opportunities for parent volunteers throughout the year and we would love to have your support. Please remember that all students in the 2s and 3s classes MUST have a parent chaperone accompany them on ALL field trips. If you are not STAND trained, your child will not be able to participate. It generally takes about 1-2 weeks to process paperwork and approve a STAND application. Please turn in your completed application early so that you can be ready to share fun events and activities with your child.
