Welcome to the Preschool 3's Class
4- Thank you for choosing St. Francis of Assisi to educate your child. This is a very special time in your child's life. Your child will be learning many new and exciting things this year.
Below are some important reminders that will make your child's year a success!
For the Week 10/1/18-10/5/18
Theme: Community Helpers
Monday
-Introduce the letter¨ Aa¨learn new words and the sound that it makes. We will also use popsicle sticks to form the letter Aa. We will be playing in an apple pie sensory bin with red , yellow and green pom poms and oatmeal .
`Craft-Making our own apple tree using red ,yellow and green paint.
Tuesday
- We will learn about the Dentist and what they do and why its important to brush our teeth everyday .
-Craft: Pretend we brush our paper teeth with shaving cream and glue.
Wednesday
We will learn about a police and what they do how they help us. We will have a special visit from officer Wallington .
-Craft- Making our own police badge
Thursday
- We will learn all about a Doctor and what they do,and how they keep our bodies healthy . We also learn that we should not be afraid to go to the Doctors , they are there to help!!

Friday
- We will learn all about a Firefighter and what they do such as helping people and putting out the fires .We will learn what to do when there is a fire and the three things you need to know ;Stop , Drop and Roll

After 8:30am a child is considered late, please check into the office to sign your child in. If you arrive after 8:30a.m. we are asking that you please enter through the 2nd door to the left, so Circle Time will not be disrupted.
Snack and Lunch
Please provide healthy choices for snack and lunch. Have your child make choices at home when their lunch is being packed. Please place a cold pack in your child's lunch box each day. Label all food containers & lunch boxes. Remember to pack a snack on scheduled half days & field trips.
Art Projects
We provide many opportunities for the children in the 3yr. old class to create many hands on art activities, PLEASE dress your child appropriately for the day.
Playground
Make sure your child is wearing comfortable shoes and weather appropriate clothing for each season. During cold winter months, please label your child's winter hat, gloves, and scarves with their names. This helps us when we're assisting them with their belongings.
Rest time
Full day students will rest between 12:15p.m.-2:00p.m daily. Please only provide a small pillow and blanket for your child. Bedding will be sent home weekly to be laundered.
